Thinking about the body with Wayne McGregor

I’ve just recently come across the very cool Wayne McGregor, a choreographer & the artistic director of Wayne McGregor | Random Dance.  He’s UK-based but, through the magic of the Internet, I’ve been able to take a look at a lot of his work.  It’s extremely intense and physical, visually arresting, and viscerally engaging—just the way I like it!

McGregor did a really fun TED talk in September 2012 about connecting minds and bodies and exploring a more physical and kinesthetic way of thinking and being in the world.  This talk and presentation is interesting from a choreographic skill-based point of view, but it’s even more interesting if you translate or transpose it to other walks of life (which is, I think, McGregor’s point as well).

Take a look and let me know what you think!
